The 2023 Concert was held on 9th December and in spite of being the hottest day went very well. Congratulations to all students! You danced beautifully!

Our three soloists in Performance Group took part in several Eisteddfods in October and November dancing, solos, duos and trios. Excellent results with all entries receiving Highly Commended, 3rd, 2nd or 1st places. So well done!
Performance Group performed beautifully at Springwood Spring festival held in September and then, happily, were were able to dance for the residents at the Aged Care homes at Uniting Care and Buckland House in Springwood. A treat for our Performance Group, and for the residents, as it is some time, because of COVID, that we have been able to put on our 'Afternoon of dance".
Three students - Audrey, Claire and Emma - did their Grade 5 Cecchetti ballet examination in Term 3 in August. They all did brilliantly! Congratulations girls!
Cecchetti Winter School was held at The McDonald College on 12th and 13th July. Great fun, and hard work, was had by all who attended.
It was wonderful to see our students participating so well in the State-wide Cecchetti NSW Medal Awards on 30th April. They were held at NIDA in Kensington with many participants and fierce competition. Well done to our students!
Congratulations to Audrey, Claire and Emma on 1st Place in their Classical section in the Cecchetti Annual Choreographic Competition held in March at the Conference Centre at McDonald College.
The audition to become a Cecchetti Scholar 2023 was held in March. This is a very prestigious series of MasterClasses held during the year with members of the ballet profession. Audrey Godsell, Emma Wallis and Claire Brodie all auditioned and were successful in being selected as Junior Scholars for 2023. Well done girls! We are so proud of you.
A wonderful Photo Day was held in February and our photographer, Fletcher Ruddick from Vision House Creative once again produced some great photos. Some are on display on our Facebook page!
We welcome our new jazz teacher, Scarlett Abel. Scarlett has been a student at the dance school since 2005 and is now training for her Cecchetti Ballet Advanced 1 level. She has also commenced with her training to be a Primary School teacher and is currently working at Winmalee Public School. It was sad to see our wonderful Monica Dunn depart after so many years but we wish her every success in her new endeavours.
