About the dance school

About the Rosatutu Studios

Rosatutu Studios - where your dance dreams begin...

Rosatutu Studios is a well established dance school located in Springwood and classes are held at Christ Church Hall, 345 Great Western Highway, Springwood.

  • Classical Ballet
  • Jazz Ballet
  • Contemporary dance

Our passion is excellence in dance training to develop the best technical ability from each student together with encouragement for their enjoyment and love of dance delivered in a safe and caring environment. This enables those students wanting to pursue their ambitions and make dance their career, to follow those dreams.

For students coming to class for the sheer love of dance there is the inspiration of new challenges combined with fun, excitement, friendship and enjoyment.

Classes

The classical ballet syllabus taught is the world renowned Cecchetti Ballet syllabus.

Classical Ballet students are accepted from 3 years and can continue their dance training up to Advanced level.

We recommend that all students undertake classical ballet classes to obtain a good grounding in dance technique before going on to other styles.

Recreational students are welcome in all classes.  There are also Adult classical classes on Wednesday evenings for dancers wanting to continue class for their love of dance.

Please see the Enrolment Page for the current Timetable .

Teachers

Principal, Rosalind Dorman, teaches all the classical classes. With over 30 years of experience teaching dance in Australia, England and New Zealand she holds a number of Cecchetti Ballet Australia and ISTD qualifications in dance teaching to a high level.

The Jazz, Contemporary and Eisteddfod coaching classes are all in the hands of enthusiastic and dedicated teachers, Scarlett Abel (Jazz), Natalie Wadick (Contemporary) and Fiona James (Adult classes) are qualified to tertiary level dance with years of experience to teach these styles.

Having our pianist, Mrs Helen Dowe, play regularly for the classical classes is of major benefit to students in developing their musicality which is such an essential aspect of dance and dance training.
